Amanda Starrantino
Amanda Starrantino is an Evening Anchor at RTV6 (ABC) in Indianapolis. She is an Emmy-nominated journalist from Los Angeles, California, where she was born and raised. Her career has taken her to South Bend, Indiana as a reporter/multi-media journalist at the ABC affiliate. She also spent time as an anchor, reporter and weather forecaster at the NBC affiliate on California’s Central Coast where she covered local crime, politics, California wildfires, and the historic drought effects on the state.
Since Amanda has lived in Indy, she feels privileged to volunteer at Riley Hospital for Children working with Child Life Services on a weekly basis. She values her time spent with Riley’s children and their families because of the strength they embody and the perspective they give on what is really important in life. Amanda shares a passion of helping others with her boyfriend, Kreigh, who is an orthopaedic surgery resident physician at IU.
They are enjoying all the Hoosier state has to offer and enjoy their time in the Circle City with their dog, Leo. She is an active member in her local downtown community. Amanda is also a strong advocate of autism awareness and education throughout our country to become a more accepting society towards kids and adults with special needs.
A professional US Figure Skater and professional instructor, Amanda is excited to trade her skates for some dance shoes for Reason to Hope, a cause close to her heart.
