I’m a Hoosier, born and raised, having spent my entire childhood in Kokomo, Indiana. I graduated from Ball State University’s College of Architecture and Planning and started my career as an interior designer at a local architecture firm, arcDESIGN. During my time at aD, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of market sectors but was always drawn to healthcare design. I’ve had the pleasure of working with healthcare organizations all across the state of Indiana, but working on projects at Riley was always my favorite. I joined the Riley team fulltime at the beginning of 2024 as a Project Manager supporting the Facilities and Strategy teams.

Although I had been working on projects at the hospital for years, I developed an even greater appreciation for Riley when my son was born in July of 2023. My son, Graham, was born at a small, critical access hospital with both of his lungs partially collapsed. The doctors informed me that he would need to be transferred to receive the appropriate care and asked where we’d like to go – without hesitation I said “Riley.” As the transfer teams were gearing up, the NICU doctors at Riley were reviewing all of Graham’s medical information and the decision was made to keep us where we were, but for the Riley team to continue to monitor him remotely. I cannot express the relief I felt knowing I had Riley docs looking after my son, even from afar.

Rest assured; Graham’s lungs work perfectly now. He screams and giggles with reckless abandon, and I have no doubt he’ll be singing along to the radio any day. He shares my love of music and dances to every tune, even my poorly written jingles. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help support Riley in yet another way, and seriously hope my dance moves are better than Graham’s.
