Thadeus Starsiak
Thadeus Starsiak is a Tv personality on HGTV’s hit show Good Bones who co-stars with the mother-daughter duo that is Mina Starsiak Hawk and Karen Elaine. One house at a time, Thadeus helps his sister and earthly mother rehab sad old dilapidated homes on the southside of Indianapolis. Thadeus believes that the work he does rehabbing homes with his family is only one way he can improve his community and uplift those around him. At age 12, Thadeus lost his biological mother and for a while he lost his way. The struggles that he went through after his mother’s death have helped shape him into the man he is today. As a result, Thadeus now has an overflowing positivity he brings to his community. He is someone who wants to give the love he lost at a young age to all people he meets, so every interaction he has is centered around love and compassion. Thadeus has been an active part of his community lifting spirits in several different areas of his life. He started as a volunteer at the Indianapolis zoo in middle school. During his years at Cardinal Ritter, he worked on service learning projects ranging from neighborhood clean ups to visiting nursing homes. Once he graduated high school, Thadeus went on to become a student athlete at IU lifting spirits as a member of the co-ed cheer squad. He excelled in cheer and became a cheer instructor for the well-known cheer company UCA (universal cheer association) for a year. Thadeus’ traveled throughout the Midwest teaching cheer to thousands of children and ended his rookie year as a head instructor at his last camp. He went on to become the head cheer coach of his alma mater, Cardinal Ritter, for 2.5 years before deciding to focus primarily on his work with Two Chicks and a Hammer rehabbing homes. He now lives in the Bates Hendricks neighborhood and is thankful for this opportunity to share his passion for uplifting his community through Riley’s Reason to Dance. He hopes to raise the most money for the kids and win the dance competition!
