GENERAL QUESTIONS

CAN ALL MY TICKETS BE UNDER THE COMPANY NAME, OR DO I NEED TO ENTER INDIVIDUAL NAMES FOR EACH GUEST?

Yes, all your tickets can be under the company name and/or the same individual name(s) if you don’t know the names of all your guests at the time of purchase.

WHAT IF I DO NOT KNOW THE NAME OR MEAL OPTION OF THE PERSON USING THE TICKET?

If you do not know the name or meal option of the person using your ticket it is okay to put your name and/or meal option. Any changes can be made up to one week before the event.

WILL I RECEIVE A TAX RECEIPT?

You will receive a receipt by email once you make your purchase.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY I DONATE GO?

The funds raised at Reason to Dance, Reason for Hope are managed by the 501(c)(3) organization Global Health Systems Foundation. All funds raised are used to pay for the Reason to Dance, Reason for Hope March gala event with the net proceeds being given directly to the Riley Children’s Foundation who distributes these funds equally between the Wells Center for Pediatric Research and Child Life Program.

EVENT QUESTIONS

DO I NEED TO PRINT MY TICKETS?

You do not need to print your tickets. There will be a quick-and-easy check-in process when you arrive.

WHAT IS THE ATTIRE FOR THE EVENING?

This is a formal event. Formal and/or cocktail attire is appropriate.

WHAT TIME DO THE DOORS OPEN?

The doors open at 5:30 p.m.

CAN CHILDREN ATTEND THE EVENT? DO I HAVE TO BUY THEM A TICKET?

Children can attend this event, although it is considered an adult event as we cannot guarantee all content will be appropriate for very young children. If the child will be sitting in a seat of their own, they will need a purchased ticket.

WHAT ARE THE AREA ACCOMMODATIONS?

There are several hotels within walking distance of the Indiana Roof Ballroom including the Embassy Suites which is attached to the ballroom. However, it is highly suggested reservations are made early due to other spring sports and downtown activities. WHERE DO I PARK? IS THERE A FEE?

There is a fee to park in downtown Indianapolis. You can park in the Embassy Suites Garage (if it isn’t full) or the Circle Center Mall parking garage.

IS THERE AN OPEN BAR?

There is complimentary beer and wine during the cocktail reception. Following the reception, all alcoholic beverages can be purchased at the bar.  Our Gold and Platinum Sponsors enjoy a full (call brand liquor) open bar during their exclusive reception. For dinner, each table will be set with one complimentary bottle of red and one complimentary bottle of white wine.

SILENT AUCTION QUESTIONS

HOW DOES THE SILENT AUCTION WORK?

You can view and bid on the silent auction items by logging onto our website at reasontodance.org on  your mobile device or one of our tablets. Once you create an account, you are free to bid on items. Text messages will alert you when you have been outbid. The silent auction will end after intermission. All items must be collected and paid for by the end of the night.

WHAT KIND OF ITEMS ARE IN THE SILENT AUCTION?

The silent auction is filled with a variety of items, most of which are secured by our celebrities. You can view these items on our website when the auction opens one-week prior to the event.

WHO GETS DONATION CREDIT FOR A SILENT AUCTION ITEM?

Items in our silent auction will have the name of the celebrity who secured the item. That celebrity will be credited with the amount of the highest bid. If a celebrity name is not associated with a particular item, the bid amount will be applied to a general fund.

CAN I DONATE AN ITEM TO BE USED IN THE SILENT AUCTION?

We do place a limit on the number of items in our silent auction. If you are interested in donating an item, please contact us at auction@reaontodance.org.

WHAT IS A BUY IT NOW ITEM?

Buy It Now items are not for up for bidding. They will go to the first person who offers the amount listed on the item.

DO I HAVE TO ATTEND THE EVENT TO BID ON ITEMS?

You do not have to attend the event to bid on items, but should you win an item, you will need someone at the event to collect the item at the end of the night. Your item must be paid for that evening, as well.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE ANY ITEMS I HAVE WON?

Once you receive a text message letting you know that you have won an item, you can visit the checkout area and then pay for and pick up your item.
