Marni Hendricks-Rockey

Marni Hendricks-Rockey grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, and graduated from Brebeuf Preparatory High School in 1998. She continued her education at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. Marni completed her Nursing degree in 2005. In 2009 she moved back to Indiana with her two sons after her husband passed away from a Glioblastoma. She has lived in Fishers, Indiana for 14 years. She remarried in 2013 to a wonderful man with 5 children. They are a blended family and have 7 kids ages 15-23 and two dogs.

Marni has worked in many different nursing areas, the emergency department being her absolute favorite! In the Emergency Department, she often worked with the adults because she found the pediatric side to be very difficult emotionally and has much respect for anyone who can work with children who are sick and suffering. Marni has worked as a medical-surgical nurse, a surgical progressive nurse, a nurse manager, a clinical liaison for brain and spinal cord injuries, and her most recent position included virtual nursing shortly before Covid started and helped expand this growing field.

She has been a long-time attendee of the Reason to Dance since the event began. She is beyond grateful that she was given the opportunity to help support the event. She danced as a little girl and is excited to be able to enjoy it again for such a wonderful cause!
