Jeff Morris

I am a business leader, author, and speaker who is passionate about helping others overcome adversity, lead with purpose, and realize their full potential. Throughout my career, I have held leadership positions across multiple industries in corporate America. For the past nine years, I have been with McKesson Corporation and currently serve as Vice President of Sales. I am also the bestselling author of Legion Rising: Surviving Combat and the Scars It Left Behind, a deeply personal account of leadership, loss, resilience, and recovery.

Before entering the business world, I proudly served our country in the United States Army as an Infantry Officer, concluding my military career with the rank of Captain. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, I completed two deployments to Baghdad, Iraq, serving as both a Platoon Leader and Company Commander. Throughout my service, I was entrusted with leading Soldiers in some of the most challenging environments imaginable, experiences that profoundly shaped my understanding of leadership, resilience, accountability, and the importance of serving others. I was awarded the Bronze Star with Valor for combat actions in Baghdad on September 12, 2004, as well as a Bronze Star for Service during my second deployment.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where I excelled as an All-Conference defensive back and team captain. My experience as a student-athlete ignited a passion for leadership and helped develop the skills that would later serve me on the battlefield, in the boardroom, and throughout my career.

I am blessed to be married to my wife, Anne, and to be the father of four incredible children—my sons, Cole, Will, and Jack, and my daughter, Claire. I am also the founder of Legion 8, a nonprofit organization established to honor the lives and legacy of the eight Soldiers lost under my command during my second deployment to ensure their legacy continues to inspire future generations.

Today, I speak to veteran organizations, healthcare leaders, businesses, and leadership teams, sharing lessons forged through adversity, leadership, perseverance, and personal growth. My message is simple: our circumstances do not define our future. Through authentic and transparent storytelling, I strive to inspire people from all walks of life to overcome challenges, build resilience, discover hope, and to realize it is possible to rise above life’s greatest obstacles and achieve more than they ever thought possible.
