Kathleen Ilo was born into a dancing family with her parents being Former Soviet Union Champions and the current owners of Starlite Ballroom. Her grandparents were also Estonian Ballroom Champions and top coaches in Estonia, so you could say dancing is in her blood. It is from this small Baltic country of Estonia that Kathleen moved at the age of 3 alongside her parents.
Kathleen studied at Indiana University receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Minors in Chemistry and Psychology.
