Monica Wright

Hi! I’m Monica Wright, a native Hoosier, a Bulldog, and an Indianapolis attorney.

I grew up in Indianapolis with my parents, Ken and Heidi Wright, and a very sweet boxer named Miko. I attended Cathedral High School, then continued my education at Butler University (Go Dawgs). During my time at Butler, I served as an Indianapolis 500 Festival Princess, and gave back to Indy by volunteering with local elementary schools, girl scout troops, and historical Indiana programming. I graduated with a degree in Marketing and International Business from the Butler University Lacy School of Business in 2018.

After college I attended the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana where I met my husband, Drew Miller. He was working on his Masters in Information Systems, and we fell in love during the pandemic. After we both graduated, we moved to Indianapolis where we reside with our two dogs, Starr and Titan.

Professionally, I started my career at Quarles & Brady, LLP where I specialized in Health Law. As a practitioner I worked to provide valuable support to pharmacies, long term care facilities, and other healthcare professionals. This work exposed me to the many complexities of healthcare, and to the Reason to Dance benefit. As someone who knows firsthand the importance of research and development in the healthcare industry, I’m so happy to support such a worthy cause.

I currently serve as an Academic Advisor at the Indiana University McKinney School of Law here in Indianapolis, playing a pivotal role in guiding and supporting law students as they navigate their academic and professional journeys. In this position, I help students achieve their academic goals and prepare for successful careers in the legal field. I hope to foster the next generation of legal professionals through education and mentorship, it is my hope that by sharing my experiences I can help the next generation of attorneys achieve their full potential.

I love Indianapolis and have deep ties to the community here. As a native of Indianapolis and resident for so many years has fostered a sense of responsibility in me; that it’s my duty to help create positive change and invest in this city.
